About Harrods’ Moet and Chandon Champagne Bar
On the ground floor of London’s iconic luxury department store is the mesmerising Moet and Chandon Champagne bar. Shining proudly amongst the glitz and glamour of jewellery, fashion and beauty, every inch of the Champagne Bar has been designed to sparkle and impress. From the bar itself, which undulates like the land from where the champagne originates to the imposing ‘pop of a cork’ chandelier above, every feature ensures that this unique bar, within a historic location, exudes elegance and drama.
Maintaining elegance and sparkle
With shining surfaces and sparkling perfection inherent to the Champagne Bar experience, finding a way to easily maintain high touch areas without changing their look and feel was an important specification for this glamorous hospitality venue.
Following a full renovation of the Champagne Bar by shop fitters Umdash The Store Makers the Cotech Biosafe team applied the surface protection product to the numerous brass areas within the 1,345 foot bar area. The premium and invisible qualities of Cotech Biosafe was of upmost importance within this luxury venue’s hospitality re-fit as it protects without changing the look and feel of the surfaces it protects.
Maintaining surfaces and profit margins
Cotech Biosafe was selected as a partner for this extensive re-fit which united two giants of the hospitality and food and beverages sectors.
The entire focus of the re-fit was to create an ambience of high quality, luxury and perfection. Arriving to the bar and finding fingerprint marks would detract from the perfection of the visitor experience yet maintaining this level of perfection would add expensive ongoing labour costs to an already premium experience.
By applying Cotech Biosafe to the brass areas, the most noticeably marked and most frequently touched areas within the bar, cleaning time is significantly reduced, and unsightly marks immediately removed with a quick and discrete polish.
With the barrier technology of the product also protecting against premature tarnishing and wear, application of Cotech Biosafe as a protective product has also extended the life of the bar area, helping to ensure that the elegance and drama delivers not just customer experience but also business revenue.
The surface coating, enhanced by Microban® antimicrobial technology, protects the bar from visible marks, but also reduces bacterial growth by up to 99.9%. In a post-covid world, where awareness of the spread of germs has become of general concern, application of Cotech Biosafe has the added bonus of reducing transmission of unwanted germs.
The Moet and Chandon Champagne Bar is the fourth department within Harrods to choose Cotech Biosafe as a partner.
